I didn't see a post here where we could share some of our favorite on-line pet supply companies. Sometimes it's very hard to find companies that 1) fill orders quickly; and 2) don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping.

I'll start with a couple of companies that I've had very positive experiences with:

www.petdiscounters.com - FAST, reliable service and reasonable shipping

www.aquariumpros.com - fast service; not too outrageous shipping

www.leisure-time.com - don't let the no-frills website fool you. Excellent inventory, great prices. Order filled promptly.

www.petguys.com - fairly good inventory; good customer service. They currently have the Hagen submersible heater for $10.49. Shipping is a little steep.

I'll see if I can remember some of the others, but these are good for starters.

I can only speak for myself but these are wonderful resources! Up til now it's been lps/lfs and petsmart/petco for me

. Did an experienced betta friend point you to these sites or do you have way too much time on your hands and found them all independently??? ;D

You all have NO idea how helpful these links are to less experienced betta owners (such as myself)! I am proud that I have found a couple of these without being pointed to them

but some of the others don't even show up when I do a search for fish supplies/suppliers. So, THANKS! ;D

I really like Dr. Foster and Smith as well...for fish when I buy online...not just bettas...I use:

my fish always come to me overnight healthy and beautiful...they also sell 2 gallon fishbowls with palstic lid with hols...perfect for bettas....
