My betta blows this hug bubble nest, large and tall but by the end of the day it is falling appart, There are holes in it and only a few bubbles on the surface.Ill check tomorrow to see iif he built more on it tonight but can this be an indicator that he is getting old?

my guy's bubble nests are all over the place. Last week Horus built one right at the filter outflow...so now there are little unpopable bubbles ALL OVER the tank. Without breeding actually going on, they seem to get blown apart pretty quickly.

I have 8 males all in separate tanks, and their bubblenests are as individual as they are A couple make very dense, tall nests right around the heater, while Mighty Man just makes a giant ring of bubbles around the perimeter of the tank and doesn't concentrate in one particular area until that's done. I'm not sure if age has anything to do with it or not...

That's about the same with my guy. He just built a bubble nest a couple of days ago and it's the first one that I've noticed that is pretty strong but it ended up getting ruined when I did a partial water change the other day . For him, I think it was more trying to find a place where the water current wouldn't distroy it. When he was in his old tank, his bubble nests were always flimsy and not that good but he's learning.

I've added some plants (Brazilian Elodea - www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/plants/weeds/egeria.html) to my 2 tanks today, and to my surprise, the bubble nests are gigantic!... The red one always did his nest more tightly and near the corner while the blue one did his scattered all over his tank, but today both had a massive nest near their plants.
