Hi Gang, Just wanted to let you know that Sunday May 2, Big Apple Betta Breeders are having their semi-monthly meeting. It's held at the Meadowlands Environment Center in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. BABB is a great club with a very friendly approach. I've been a member since it's inception in 2001. It's an IBC Chapter (International Betta Congress) and possibly the largest in the country. Members usually bring in bettas for the auction at the end of our meeting. I'm bringing a few of the baby female bettas that I've posted about on HB, they'll be 14 weeks old on auction day. All auction proceeds benefit BABB. This is a chance for you to meet knowledgeable, friendly betta folk and maybe fall in love with a half-moon betta. Here's the link. babb2000.org/info/index.htmPlease note BABB's meeting starts at 10 AM rather than the usual 1 PM. North Jersey Aquarium Society's Annual Auction is being held in the same building at 1 PM. NJAS auction includes many varieties of tropical fish, plants and misc. aquarium items. Directions to the Environment Center are at the bottom of the BABB home page. Admission to the BABB meeting and the NJAS auction are free. If you live in the area be sure to attend!
